Power Outage Shut Down Train Crossing In Wallingford (Update)

A power outage left the train crossing at Brookhaven Road and Turner Road in Wallingford impassable, Nether Providence police announced on Monday, Jan. 1 at 2:38 p.m.

Both SEPTA and PECO crews were made aware of the outage and actively responded to the scene, police said in the release.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes while crews worked to resolve the issue.

The area reopened following the repairs at 3:11 p.m., according to an updated police release.
